The Election Commission of India has issued a detailed program for the special summary revision of the voter list. According to the fixed schedule of activities related to the revision of the voter list, the draft of the voter list will be published on Tuesday, October 29. Claims and objections on this will be received from October 29 to November 28. Special camps will be organized on November 9 and 10 and November 16 and 17 in connection with the revision. The received claims and objections will be resolved by December 24.
Chief Electoral Officer Sukhbir Singh said that by January 1, 2025, the database of the voter list will be updated and appendixes will be printed. After this, the final publication of the voter list will be done on January 6. The CEO said that the youth who are completing 18 years of age on January 1, 2025, can apply in advance to get their names added to the voter list. Voter ID card of new voters will easily reach their home through speed post.
The CEO said that the ECI has provided both online and offline free facilities for adding names in the voter list. Booth Level Officer (BLO) can be contacted for offline application.
