Will get the gift of Nishatpura station in the New Year

Bhopal will have its fourth railway station, 95 percent work completed, will be inaugurated soon, a dozen trains will stop here

The railway passengers of the city are soon going to get the gift of another, fourth railway station, Nishatpura, in the New Year. Probably a dozen trains will start stopping at this railway station, built at a cost of about Rs 20 crore, from next month.

Some trains including Malwa will now leave for Indore directly from Nishatpura instead of coming to Bhopal. About 95 percent work of the new station has been completed. In which facilities like platform, drinking water, parking, train display etc. have been provided. At present there is heavy traffic pressure of trains at Bhopal station. About 150 pairs of trains operate daily originating from here and from other stations.

Except for 3-4 pairs of trains, all other trains stop here at this station. At present there are only 6 platforms in Bhopal, in which there is more traffic on number one, while trains towards Indore, Jaipur, Jabalpur leave from 5-6 platforms. Overall, in view of the problems being faced by the railway administration and passengers due to less number of platforms in proportion to the number of trains, the railway administration is going to start Nishatpura station. This will be the fourth station of Bhopal. Presently there are Rani Kamlapati, Bhopal and Sant Hirdaram Nagar stations. Now 12 trains including Malwa, Howrah, Ajmer-Kolkata Express traveling from Indore-Ujjain will be halted at Nishatpura instead of Bhopal station.

These facilities will be available in Nishatpura
–        Railways has currently provided alternative facilities for the passengers in Nishatpura.
–        Two platforms have been built, one for up and the other for down trains.
– Shed is yet to be constructed on 4 platforms. – – Facility to stand 22-23 coaches including the same engine has been provided. There will also be a provision for watering the coach.
–  The route to this station has been made from next to the driver running room located near Chhola Hanuman Temple.
– DCM office, ticket house and passenger waiting room, train display have been built at the station.
– Passengers can reach the platform by climbing the stairs after taking tickets. There will also be lift facility for elderly and disabled passengers.
– Home platform facility will not be available. – – – Parking arrangements have been provided for cars and bikes. A tender will also be issued soon for awarding the parking contract.
– About Rs 20 crore has been spent in the construction of Nishatpura station. Seven trains going towards Delhi, Chennai and Indore will have stoppage at this station.

Railway administration has constructed Nishatpura station with all facilities for the passengers of Bhopal. This station is expected to be inaugurated soon.
