Bhopal: A miscreant snatched the mangalsutra and ran away. The miscreant snatched the mangalsutra from the neck of a woman walking on foot in Hanumanganj area. The woman raised an alarm, but by then the miscreant had fled towards the station. The police have registered a case against the unidentified accused and started searching for him. According to the police, Manju Ujjaniya (55) is a housewife and a resident of Chhatri Chowk Ujjain. Her son Saurabh Ujjaniya lives and works in Bhopal. On Thursday, Manju came to Bhopal from Ujjain by train to stay with her son. After getting down at Bhopal Railway Station at around 12:30 in the afternoon, she was walking towards the bus stop to board a bus. As soon as she reached near Punjab Restaurant, a boy approached her from behind. The boy snatched Manju’s mangalsutra from her neck and ran towards the railway station.
Meanwhile, thieves stole a mobile phone from a room in Max Care Hospital under Kotwali police station. The cost of the stolen mobile is said to be Rs. 30,000. The miscreants also stole autos and two-wheelers. Meanwhile, two-wheelers were stolen from many other areas. Police have registered a case against unknown vehicle thieves in all the cases.
Equipment stolen from electricity office
Thieves stole equipment from the electricity office located in Chandbad. However, no lock of the office was broken. Police have registered a case against unknown accused.
