- Fogsi National Conference inaugurated
Bhopal: Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla has said that women are the foundation of the family and society. Their health is essential for the economic and social stability of the family. Women’s health is the basis of society’s prosperity and development. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla inaugurated the three-day Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI) National Conference on the topic “Basic to Advanced-Women’s Health Matters” by lighting the lamp at Jahanuma Palace Bhopal. About 600 gynecologists from India and abroad participated in the conference.
We have to take MP to the top in health sector
Deputy CM Shukla said that together we have to ensure that every woman gets better health services. The government gives top priority to women’s health and we have started many important schemes and programs in this direction. The Deputy Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is the only state to provide free treatment to childless couples under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. He said that undoubtedly, important suggestions regarding women’s health will be obtained from the brainstorming of experts in the workshop. Use these to improve the women’s health system. He said that together we have to take Madhya Pradesh to the top in the health sector.
Fogsi will provide support in field of maternal and child health
Fogsi President Dr. Jaideep Tank said that Fogsi will provide full support to the government in the effort to reduce maternal mortality rate and infant mortality rate. It is noteworthy that Fogsi is an organization of health institutions and doctors working in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. Under this, 258 member institutions and 37 thousand members are registered all over India. Fogsi works for the upliftment and betterment of women’s health. In the conference, experts from India and abroad will share experiences on innovations for women’s health and treatment. Also, special discussion will be held on preventive gynecology oncology (cancer in women) and maternal mortality. Principal Secretary Home Department Mr. Sanjay Dubey, Director IEC Health Department Dr. Rachna Dubey, Organizing Chairperson Dr. Monica Singh along with other officials of FOGSI, doctors and experts were present.
