Works of former UP CM Kalyan Singh completed by PM Modi : Amit Shah

Aligarh, Aug 21 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said that whatever works were started by former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh whether it was welfare of poor, recognition for backward classes or construction of Lord Ram temple all have been completed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last nine years.

Addressing Hindu Gauarv Diwas organised on the death anniversary of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Shah said, “Whatever works were started by Babuji whether it was of poor welfare, recognition for backward classes or incomplete work of the construction of Ram temple, PM Modi has taken them to their logical end in the last nine years.”

Union Minister Piyush Goyal, CM Yogi Adityanath, senior BJP leader Vasundhara Raje, Deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, state president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary and several other party leaders were present on the occasion.

On the occasion, he also appealed to the people to ensure the victory of BJP in all the 80 seats in the state in the next Lok Sabha election and give a message to the country that UP is an impregnable fort of the party where it cannot be defeated.

Shah said that taking forward the works started by Kalyan Singh, PM Modi did a large number of works for the upliftment of the entire backward community in the last nine years. “On the one hand, he started a ‘yagya’ for the welfare of the poor, on the other hand, he worked for the advancement of the backward society,” he said.

The Home Minister said that the third incomplete work was construction of Lord Ram temple. “Since independence, Congress was stalling, diverting and procrastinating the Ram Mandir issue. As soon as the Supreme Court’s decision came, Modi performed the ‘bhoomi pujan’ of Lord Ram’s temple without shedding a drop of blood,” he said.

While paying tributes to Kalyan Singh, the Union Minister said that there are moments in every person’s life that introduce him to the world. “Such a moment came in the life of Babuji. A sea of ‘Ram Bhakts’ thronged Ayodhya. Things went out of control and a pressure was created to control the situation by opening fire on devotees of Lord Ram. At that moment he decided that he would not allow firing, rather he would sacrifice the CM’s post and gave a huge message,” Shah said.

Shah said, “It is a matter of pleasure that Lord Ram will be seated in his own building, a grand temple, after 550 years under the leadership of PM Modi in the beginning of 2024. It will instil a sense of satisfaction and pride among the Ram Bhakts across the world.”

Amit Shah said that Kalyan Singh was the first person to start welfare of the backwards in UP. “He was a symbol of ideological diligence, administrative skills, efficiency of the organisation and infinite sympathy towards the backward and the poor,” he said.

The Union Minister said, “When Babuji became the CM of UP he concentrated on three things, first giving momentum to Ram Temple movement, to bring the ideas of BJP of poor welfare on the ground and the welfare of the backward community. It is a matter of joy that we are taking all these works forward.”

He said that in the field of poor welfare, PM Modi achieved the target by providing cooking gas, electricity, toilets, drinking water, health facility, ration and several other facilities in the houses of the poor.

Shah said, “The government worked to empower backward communities. The Modi government gave constitutional recognition to the National Backward Commission, Talked about reservation to OBCs in NEET, gave reservation to the poor. Provided 27 percent reservation in Navodaya Vidyalayas and Sainik Schools, Set up a capital venture fund for industrialists and gave constitutional recognition to OBCs through a Constitutional amendment.”

He said that in 2014 Lok Sabha election all records were broken under the leadership of PM Modi when BJP won 73 out of 80 seats in UP. “2024 Lok Sabha seats break the record of 73 seats and ensure BJP’s victory in all the 80 seats as there will be no other biggest tribute to Babuji other than this,” the Home Minister said.

Shah said, “Ensure BJP’s victory in all the 80 Lok Sabha seats in the state, make Modiji the Prime Minister again and give a message to India that UP is an impregnable fort of BJP and no one can defeat it.”
