Bengaluru, June 13 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa is facing potential arrest in connection with a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is actively seeking a non-bailable warrant against him. As part of their investigation, the CID has summoned Yediyurappa for questioning.
In response, Yediyurappa has approached the Karnataka High Court to dismiss the case, arguing that he has consistently cooperated with the authorities throughout the investigation.
This legal action comes amid serious allegations from a woman who accused Yediyurappa of sexually assaulting her daughter. Tragically, the alleged victim has recently passed away, adding further urgency and complexity to the case.
The CID, which is rigorously pursuing the matter, is expected to submit the charge sheet by June 15.
This development marks a significant moment in the case, and further updates are anticipated as the situation unfolds.
