Yes she can: Obama endorses Kamala Harris cautioned about Trump at NDC

Chicago, Aug 21 (UNI) Former US President Barack Obama on Wednesday said current Vice President Kamala Harris was ready for the top job in the country and would work for all Americans tirelessly if she won the prez elections in November.

Addressing the Democratic National Convention, Obama said “the torch has been passed” to Kamala Harris, who would fight for all Americans. He also labelled Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump as “dangerous”, CNN reported.

Obama said it was the beginning of a new phase of the Democratic Party.

Both Obama and his wife and former US first lady Michelle endorsed Harris and urged the supporters across the US to turn out and vote to defeat trump. He warned that the polls could be close.

Heaping praise on Harris, Michelle said “Hope is making a comeback.”..

The former US President remembered Harris’s history as a prosecutor, and recaled how she used to target large banks and child sexual abusers.

Obama also took a dig at Trump assuring that Harris would work for Americans and won’t cater only to her own voters interests, unlike the Republican nominee.
