Bhopal: A two-day annual award ceremony for young reporters for the environment was organized in Shail Kala Auditorium under Eco Schools Green Flag Program in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal and Environment Education Center. More than 40 people from all over the country participated in the program and discussed their environmental initiatives. Later, the participants visited the museum’s Traditional Technology Park and learnt about indigenous knowledge and technologies that can be revived to tackle climate change.
After this, the attendees visited the Vithi Sankul Antaranga Bhawan in which the exhibitions on artifacts, utensils, costumes and tribal culture collected from all over India were displayed.
In the expert session, Allahabad University professor Dr. Sunil Umrao spoke on media. Dr. Tapas Biswas gave detailed information on photography. All the participants gave their presentations. They showcased their impressive work in environmental awareness and action on their campuses. The event recognised their dedication towards promoting sustainable living and environmental protection. Subsequently, Green Flag Award winners and Young Reporters for Environment (YRE) winners were also felicitated. The event concluded with the felicitation of Green Flag Award winners and Young Reporters for Environment (YRE) winners.
