Youth cheated on the pretext of getting Mudra Loan

Bhopal: On the pretext of getting Prime Minister’s Mudra Loan, two fraudsters cheated a young man of 71 thousand five hundred rupees. When the complainant tried to contact them after not getting the loan, their phones were found switched off. Even after a lot of efforts, when the money was not returned, the victim complained to the police. On the basis of the complaint, the police have registered a case of fraud and breach of trust against both of them.

According to the police, Salman Qureshi (26) lives in New Colony Jahangirabad. He needed money to start his business. For this, he had applied online to get the Prime Minister’s Mudra Loan in December 2022.

Meanwhile, he came in contact with Siddharth Pathak and his partner Harsh Malviya. Siddharth told that he works to get the Prime Minister’s Mudra Loan approved and has got loans for many people. When Salman believed his words, Siddharth started taking money from him on the pretext of making loan files, getting the loan approved and other works.

Salman transferred a total of 71 thousand five hundred rupees online to him at different times. After taking the money, he stopped receiving Salman’s calls. Once he got in touch, Salman asked for his money back, after which he disconnected the call and did not contact him after that. Troubled, Salman complained to the police officials, after which Jahangirabad police registered a case against Siddharth and Harsh.

Student stopped going to school due to fear of molester

Habibganj police has registered a case against a youth under sections of molestation and POCSO Act on the report of a school girl. The matter came to light when the victim stopped going to school due to fear of the accused. According to the police, the 17-year-old girl living in Shahpura area studies in class 12 in a school located in Habibganj. A youth named Vicky, who lives in the same area, was harassing the student by following her for several months. He used to make comments and was pressurizing her for friendship. Due to fear of the accused, the girl stopped going to school since last month. When she did not go to school for several days, the family inquired, after which she told about Vicky’s actions. On Thursday evening, the family took the girl to Habibganj police station, where they registered a case against Vicky under various sections including molestation. Efforts are being made to arrest the accused.

Police nabs criminal for violating externment order

Gandhi Nagar police has arrested a criminal who violated the order of externment from the district. Action under NSA has been taken against him. According to the police, the accused Ejaz alias Chhote (38) is a resident of Tagore Ward Gandhi Nagar. He was externed from the district last month due to criminal activities. The accused was ordered to stay out of Bhopal district and the bordering districts for three months.

On Thursday night, information was received that the criminal who was externed from the district has come to his house. Police reached the spot and arrested him. Action under NSA has been taken against the accused for violating the order.

Theft in broad daylight at house of engineer

Thieves raided the house of an executive engineer living in Kamla Nagar in broad daylight and stole goods worth about 60 thousand including cash and jewellery. Jewellery and goods worth thousands have also been stolen from many other places. Police have registered a case against unknown thieves in all the cases.

According to the information, Kishorchand Borle (59) lives in Geetanjali Complex Kamala Nagar. He is an executive engineer in Arera Hills Bhopal of Narmada Valley Development Authority. On Thursday afternoon at around 3:30, Kishor locked the house and went to the office, while both the children went to the market. When the children reached home after about two hours, the lock was broken and the stuff inside was scattered.

When Kishor went to the spot and saw, 10 thousand rupees cash kept in the cupboard locker and goods worth about 60 thousand including gold jewellery were missing.

Meanwhile, thieves stole jewellery and goods worth thousands of rupees from empty houses located in Machana Colony and Sahara State Misrod under Habibganj police station. Police have registered a case on the report of Manish Agarwal and Ashok Kumar. The list of stolen goods from both the places has not been found.
