Youth dies after drowning in swimming pool

Bhopal: A youth died after drowning while bathing in a swimming pool built in a farm house located at Khajuri Road. He had gone to the farm house to celebrate party with his friends. The youth was taken out of the pool and taken to Hamidia Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead after checking. After receiving information from the hospital, the police reached the spot, registered a case and after conducting the postmortem, handed over the body to the family. After receiving the postmortem report, action will be taken against the farm house operator. According to the police, Mohammad Saifi, son of Badruddin Saifi (18), lived in Shahjahanabad. At around 9 pm on Saturday night, he had reached KR Farm House located in village Dhaminiya Road under Khajuri Road police station with his half a dozen friends to celebrate party. There is a swimming pool built at this farm house. At around 10 pm, Mohammad Saifi got into the swimming pool to take a bath. During this, his foot slipped, due to which he drowned in deep water. None of his friends and other people present there knew how to swim. Later, he was somehow taken out and taken to the hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead after checking. After receiving information from the hospital, Khajuri Sadak police reached the spot, registered a case and after conducting the post-mortem, handed over the body to the family. Police station in-charge Neeraj Verma said that after the death of the youth, the family did not want to do the post-mortem. After receiving the information, the police explained to the family, after which they agreed to get the post-mortem done. Initial investigation has revealed that no security arrangements were made at the swimming pool. The operator of the farm house is being traced.

Illegal liquor recovered from car

Kamla Nagar police has seized one box of illegal liquor from a car. According to the police, information was received from the informer that illegal liquor was being brought in a white coloured I-10 car from Geetanjali Chowk. After getting the information, the police stopped the said car near Aradhana Nagar crossing. On searching the car, a box of country liquor was found in the car, which was confiscated by the police. The names of the youths in the car have been reported to be Hrithik Sahu and Rishi Vishwakarma, residents of TT Nagar. A case has been registered against the accused under the Excise Act.
