Youth strangles wife to death on suspicion of character

Bhopal: A youth strangled his wife to death in Piplani area on Sunday afternoon. After the incident, he went straight to the police station and informed the police about the incident. After the information, the police reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. A case has been registered against the accused husband and he has been taken into custody.

According to the police, Dilip Mehra (32) lives in Labor Colony Indrapuri and works as a photographer as well as taking paint contracts. He was married to Chhaya Mehra five years ago in the year 2019. Both have a child. There was often a dispute between the two over character suspicion. Some time ago, Chhaya disappeared from home without informing and returned four-five days ago. On Sunday, a dispute broke out between the two over this matter.

On this, Dilip first beat up his wife and later strangled her to death. After the death of wife, he went straight to Piplani police station and surrendered giving information about the incident. When the police reached the spot, they found the dead body of Chhaya and marks on her neck. On this, the police registered a case against the accused husband and took him into custody

Youth dies of suicide in Nishatpura

A youth living in Nishatpura committed suicide by hanging himself. The police registered a case and after conducting the post-mortem, handed over the body to the family. No suicide note was found near the deceased, but in the initial investigation it was found that he used to play online games on mobile at night and sleep during the day. The police have seized the mobile phone for investigation. According to the police, Sohan Sen son of Anandram Sen (20) lived in Vishwakarma Nagar Nishatpura. After studying till class 10, he used to stay at home, while his elder sister is married. His father Anantram runs a bookstore at the bus stand. Sohan went to his room after having dinner on Saturday night. On Sunday morning at around seven o’clock, the door of his room was found closed. When the door did not open even after calling and making phone calls, it was broken. Inside, Sohan was found hanging. The family took him down from the noose and took him to a private hospital for treatment, where the doctors declared him dead after checking. In the initial inquiry, the family told that he used to play online games on mobile and rarely went out of the house. The police is investigating the matter.
