Youth who had gone out to see tableau dies of suicide

Bhopal: A youth who had left home on the pretext of seeing the tableau committed suicide by jumping in front of a train. His body was found on the railway track the next morning. The police registered a case and after conducting the postmortem, handed over the body to the family. No suicide note was found with the deceased. The family did not give any information that could reveal the reason for the suicide.

According to Chhola Mandir police, on Sunday-Monday night, while patrolling, the police saw a bike parked near Patra bridge. When the police reached the spot, the key was in the bike, but no one was around. Fearing something untoward, the police also checked the railway track, but no one was seen. After that, the police took out the key of the bike and went on patrol. In the morning, information was received that the body of a youth was lying in the bushes near the railway track near Patra bridge. The police reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it for postmortem. His bike was parked quite far from the crime scene, so the body was not visible in the darkness of the night. The body was identified with the help of Aadhar card. The police found a broken mobile phone and a purse from the crime scene.

The purse contained Rs 160 cash and an Aadhar card. This helped identify the deceased as Rohit Panthee, son of Manoj Panthee (24), resident of Atal Ayub Nagar, Gautam Nagar police station. The family members told the police that Rohit was in a private job. On Sunday night, he left saying that he was going to see the Ganesh tableau, but did not return. An investigation is being conducted to find out why he committed suicide.

Youth found dead at bus stop

Chhola Mandir police recovered the body of a youth from the bus stop near Bhanpur Bridge. His body was found on an iron bench. According to the police, on Monday morning, information was received that the body of a youth was lying at the city bus stop near Bhanpur Bridge. The police reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. The deceased has been identified as Rohit alias Fattu son of Dayaram Prajapati (25) resident of village Raslakhedi Chola Mandir. The deceased used to do private driving. It is estimated that he might have had a heart attack. However, the real cause of death will be revealed only after receiving the postmortem report.
